MANILA , Philippines – In a remarkable display of medical service, the Sui Generis Mission, in partnership with the Cebu Doctors Group of Surgeons, is set to hold the “Siargao Surgical Mission 2.0” from January 25 to 28 at the Siargao Island Medical Center.

This initiative, organized in coordination with the Philippine Hernia Society and Cebu Doctor’s University Hospital, aims to provide free surgeries to residents in need, regardless of political affiliation or background.

Eye and Dental Care:

Ophthalmology services, including cataract (30 cases) and pterygium surgeries (30 cases), as well as screenings for 100 patients Dental extractions (375 teeth) Distribution of 500 eyeglasses through optometry services

Minor Surgeries:

Removal of lumps and bumps (200 cases) Support and logistics

While the mission is apolitical, any supplemental help and support from local leaders is welcome.

Congressman Bingo Matugas is providing additional logistical support by taking care of the transportation needs of all doctors and surgeons during their stay on the island.

This ensures that the medical team can focus entirely on delivering quality healthcare services to the people of Siargao.
