Decorated Filipino boxer Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao was selected on Thursday in the International Boxing Hall of Fame as part of its Class of 2025 lineup.

Pacquiao, known for his fast footwork and blazing speed of punches, became one of the top offensive fighters in the sport’s history. Having won world championships in a record eight weight divisions from flyweight to super welterweight, it’s no wonder he is hailed as a global boxing icon.

“I am so happy that I have been selected to enter the International Boxing Hall of Fame. This certainly is a wonderful Christmas gift,” Pacquiao stated on the Hall of Fame’s website.

“Throughout my career, as a professional fighter and a public servant, it has been my goal to bring honor to my country, the Philippines, and my fellow Filipinos around the world.”

Pacquiao retired from the sport in 2021 with a record of 62 wins, 8 losses, and 2 draws from his 72-fight career.
